Today our expertise in software development for measurement equipment includes wide range of devices starting from simple to high-end complex systems based on various microprocessor units. Our services include full development of measurement instrument to only partial development of communication link, enhanced user interface, or PC software for communication with the instrument.

Typical target device markets include automotive, military, telecommunications, gaming, and medical devices.

Reliable Deliverables, Constant Support

Our deliverables meet high level of reliability, robustness and stability. Communication is provided according to customer requirements, for example over serial, Bluetooth, ethernet, CAN or some other specific media.

We not only deliver firmware software, but support vendor in every step of product lifetime cycle; starting with initial request definition, support for serial production of devices, second line and service/maintenance support. The prime examples of our deliverables are RPM Meter (measuring rotations of engine with internal combustion), two channel digital scope meter with DigitalMultimeter, and exhaust gas emission analyzer (for Otto and Diesel engines).

Use Case: Progressive Fiber-Optic Measurement Instrument

ComTrade developed the embedded software solution for one of the most sophisticated optical network test instruments, Optical Time Domain Reflectometer. For the new generation of a fiber-optic network test instrument we were involved in the development of the operating system, graphic environment, help, communication interfaces, and printing and reporting generation subsystem. The solution became the best seller in its category, with an award winning user interface.
